Volunteering for the National Domestic Violence Hotline's division for dating abuse was a difficult but rewarding experience.
This program was a part of the National Domestic Violence Hotline that focused on dating or youth relationship abuse, with a role that provided access to resources for those who needed help or were concerned about someone they knew who might need help. It was an amazing, rewarding experienced.
I helped contacts via phones, chats, and even text messages, answering questions with facts, resources and a caring personal touch. My main focus was providing information about healthy relationships, red flags, how and where to seek help, how to stay safe, and how to help others. It's a skill that I believe is important for everybody.

TCE gave me a new appreciation for the importance of good public relations, and how to inspire confidence and leverage influence positively.
